Casket in parade was part of message Letters to the editor James Schaefer Thomson Dear Editor, In the Dec. 7 edition of The McDuffie Mirror, Celeste Malden commented that doesn't like caskets as she discussed the Christmas parade. I feel that she could not read the sign we had on the casket. I was trying to hit deep in the hearts of the people watching the parade to think twice about drinking and driving. I know that Christmas parades are suppose to be fun and festive, but so much you hear about people drinking, driving, and killing or maiming people from their stupidity.
