19-year-old Thomson man killed in accident
From Staff Reports
A 19-year-old Thomson man died late Saturday when the car he was riding in left the road and flipped over into the woods in McDuffie County, according to authorities.
McDuffie County Coroner Rhusha Mack said he pronounced Christopher Rowell dead at the scene of the accident on Twin Oaks Road at about 11:20 p.m.
Sgt. Mark Bentley, of the Georgia State Patrol post in Thomson, said the driver of the Saturn, Craig Moore, 25, of Avera, Ga., was injured during the accident and taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
All that was known Sunday was that Mr. Moore lost control of the vehicle, which caused the Saturn to flip over and then crash into a wooded area near Twin Oaks Road.
