AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James Langham, 84, of Augusta, formally of Thomson, died Monday, December 5, 2005, in the Athens Heritage Home.
Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bob Bowling officiating.
A native of Dearing, Ga., Mr. Langham was the former owner and operator of several clothing stores in Georgia including Hadaways Department Store and the Kunnes Department Store in Thomson. He was a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church, the Thomson Kiwanis Club and the Thomson Pool Club.
He was married to the late Melba Boyd Langham and is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Langham of Augusta; two grandsons, Franklin Langham of Peachtree City and Jim Langham of Atlanta and two sisters, Jessie Motes of Augusta and Dorothy Reville of Thomson.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Berry, Larry Murray, Don McNeill, Billy Lavigno, Bob Knox, Rusty Lovelace, Larry Knox and Bob Boswell.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
