The boys (4-2) had to fight back from a late deficit and stave off a last-second tip-in attempt during overtime to take a 76-75 win against Warren County. Tim Daniels led the Bulldogs with 22 points in the win. Deltrick Sneed added 16.

On Dec. 6, the boys defeated Burke County 75-72. Fred Johnson led the Bulldog scorers with 22 points. The Dogs fell to Hephzibah 61-58 on Dec. 9. Tim Daniels led Thomson's losing effort with 15 points.

The girls' team got its first win of the season, a 52-17 victory over Warren County Saturday night. The win puts the Lady Bulldogs at 1-5 on the season.

On Dec. 6, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Burke County 50-34. And on Dec. 9, girls' basketball powerhouse Hephzibah defeated Thomson 68-32. Thomson girls' coach Eric Rogers was pleased with several individual performances against Burke County.

Thomson's Nicole Kendrick takes a hard foul against Warren County.

Kim Johnson led Thomson with eight points and eight rebounds in that game. Keywana Kendrick pulled down 13 rebounds in the losing effort.

"We came out with some intensity and stayed in the game until the fourth quarter," Coach Rogers said. "Once again our ball handling is preventing us from getting scoring opportunities. ĶWe just need to get everyone on the same page and playing hard at the same time."

Both the boys and the girls face Elbert County tomorrow for the second time this season. The girls' game starts at 7 p.m. and the boys' game starts at 8:30; both are in Elberton.
