Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Yarbrough of Mitchell are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Joann Yarbrough, to Christopher George Brooks. He is the son of Wade and Janice Brooks of Avera.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Winona S. Hodge, the late O.W. Hodge and the late Thomas Silas, all of Gibson; also the late W.J. and Joann Yarbrough of Mitchell. Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Glascock County Consolidated School and will graduate from Sandersville Technical College this month as a practical nurse.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Helen Peebles and the late George Peebles of Stapleton, and George Brooks and the late Dera Brooks of Avera. He is a 1996 graduate of Jefferson County High School and received a diploma in automotive technology from Swainsboro Technical College. He is employed by Henderson Chevrolet in Louisville.
The wedding is planned for Jan. 15, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Mitchell, Ga. Invitations will be sent to out of town guests only. All friends and family are invited to attend.
