Mrs. Sarah Riley THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Sarah Riley was born March 3, 1925 in Warren County to the late Rev. Amos (Carrie Landers) Smith. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Doctor's Hospital, Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Lee Riley. Mrs. Riley was a life-long member (55 years) of Shiloh Baptist Church. Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memories nine children: Leroy Jeffery, New Castle, Del., Truman Jeffery, Thomson, Charlie (Faye) Riley, Stone Mountain, Ga., Anna (Joseph) Deering, Fredrick, Md., Johnny (Evelyn) Riley, Pine Bluff, Ark., Verna Riley and Carrie Riley, both of Mesena, Ga., Patricia Riley, New Castle, Del., and Julia Riley, Athens, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandkids; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Smith and Dora Smith; two aunts, Rosie Kendrick and Lunie Ruff; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 18, 2005, 2 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, Cadley, Ga., Rev. James Murray, pastor, Rev. Joe Williams, eulogist.
