Ms. Ruth "Betty" Hobbs Vaughn
Retired Seamstress

THOMSON, Ga. - Ms. Ruth "Betty" Hobbs Vaughn, 63, of Thomson, entered into rest December 12, 2005.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Wilkes County, lived in Warren County, but lived most of her life in McDuffie County. She was the daughter of the late David "Nack" Hobbs and the late Ruth Smith Hobbs. Mrs. Vaughn also retired from Chardan Limited, worked at Stapleton Garment Co. and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Joyce McDonald, Dearing, and Kathy Williford, Thomson; brothers, Clarence Hobbs, Thomson, and Harold Hobbs, Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Carrie Purvis, Warrenton, and three grandchildren, Jessica Holley, Florida, Joshua Holley, Dearing, and Jordan Williford, Thomson.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2005 at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Brunner officiating. Interment followed in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roger Hobbs, Kenneth Adair, Gibson Purvis, Donald Kitchens, Chris Kersey, Charles Jenkins, Stanley Jenkins, Tim Williford, Billy Williford .

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
