DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Johnnie Lee Brooks, 66, of Dearing, entered into rest December 21, 2007. She was the beloved wife of James Brooks.
Mrs. Brooks was a native of Tyler, Texas, but lived in Thomson for 35 years. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Harris and the late Ilah Poole Harris. Mrs. Brooks was also a member of Marshall Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband, James Brooks, Dearing; daughters, Sheryl Hart, Augusta, DeeAnn Usry (Terry), Thomson, Rhonda Leek (Bryan), Thomson; sisters, Ruth Wintters, Red Springs, Texas, Lola Gerald, Bellevista, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Gantt, Amanda Anderson, Brooke Usry, Nichole Usry, Hunter Banks, and Joshua Leek; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Haley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Caudle Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
