Mr. James Coy Gilliam, Sr.
WARRENTON, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. James Coy Gilliam, Sr., were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Sandy Grove A.M.E. Church, Warrenton, with Pastor LeVerne Comer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his mother, Catherine Gilliam Cosby, Warrenton; father, C.L. Gilliam, Washington, D.C.; wife, Juanita Gilliam, Augusta; two daughters, Carla Gibson and Yvonne Harris, Augusta; one son, James Coy (Shantonya) Gilliam, Jr. Brooklyn, N.Y.; six sisters, Janet (Rickey) Jackson, Carol Cosby and Christine Cosby, Warrenton, Alice Cosby, Jonesboro, Ga., Marilyn Bly, Harlem, and Fay Cosby, Thomson; seven brothers, Carl, Curtis and Calvin, Warrenton, Mack, Jr. (Flora) Cosby, Fort Valley, Ga., Donald Cosby, Portland, Ore., Marvin Cosby, Seattle, Wash. and Willie Richard Gilliam, Atlanta and seven grandchildren.
Dawson's Mortuary of Warrenton was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
