THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Laura Olene Masters, 85, widow of Mr. Grover Lee Masters, died Monday, December 19, 2005 in the Thomson Manor Nursing Facility.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta.
Mrs. Masters was a native of Norcross, Ga., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Usry, Warrenton and Patricia Savoy, Conyers; her sons, Wayne Masters, Dearing; her nine grandchildren, Debbie Smith, Diane Thompson, Randy Usry, Tracy Johnson, Vickie Platt, Wesley (Bubba) Savoy, Lori Ann Renew, Sybil Ferguson and Karen Masters; 19 great-grandchildren, Michael Washam, Amanda Smith, Josh Smith, Jennifer Toulson, Jessica Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, Hegan Johnson, Traci Lynn Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Candice Johnson, Adam Platt, Isaac Platt, Joshua Platt, Westin Savoy, Drew Ferguson, Joey Ferguson, Justin Renew and Brandon Renew; three great-great-grandchildren, Blake Washam, Brandon Washam and Tristen Smith and her sister, Rutha Mae Phillips, Scotsdale, Ga.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tracy Johnson, Wesley (Bubba) Savoy, Randy Usry and her great-grandsons, Josh Smith, Drew Ferguson and Joey Ferguson.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
