Willie Williams will finally settle at Louisville, the fourth college to which he has recently been connected.
A member of Thomson's 2002 AAAA state championship football team, Williams played for Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. He was picked up by Kansas State last year and was designated as a play-through player this past season at Georgia Military College where he recorded 35 tackles and three sacks.
After Kansas State Coach Bill Snyder announced his retirement in November, Williams looked elsewhere. The 6-4, 325 lb. defensive tackle announced last week that he had committed to Louisville, in the Big East Conference.
Williams joins another former Thomson Bulldog on the Louisville roster, Deon Palmer who played in nine games at cornerback and had eight total tackles along with a 42-yard fumble return for a touchdown. The Cardinals went 9-2 in the regular season this year and play against Virginia Tech in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2.
