HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. Claude "Rick" Rickerson, 64, Hephzibah, was held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 2 p.m., at the first Shiloh Baptist Church, Augusta, with the Rev. Willie James officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his devoted wife and dedicated caregiver, Overa Adaway Rickerson, Hephzibah; one daughter, Benita (Rodney) Brown, Highland Falls, NY; one brother, Leonard (Virginia) Rickerson, Augusta; two foster sisters, Daisy Effort, Augusta, and Juanita (Johnny) Lazenby, Chicago, Ill.; one aunt, Ollie Mae Cummings, Augusta; three sisters- in-law, Annie Lee Rickerson, Appling, Patricia Adaway,Warrenton, Bea Hart-Moss, Thomson; two brothers-in-law, Richard Holliman, Augusta, & Larry Adaway, Thomson; mother-in-law, Mrs. Susie K. Adaway, Thomson; two granddaughters, La'Torria R. West (Bloomfield, III.)Yarbrough, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Tex., Jessica Walker, Newburgh, NY.; one grandson, Raymond M. Brown, New Windsor, NY; one great grandson, Bloomfield "DJ" Yarbrough IV, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Tex.; devoted nephews, Clifton Hart, Alpharetta, & Ronald Lazenby, Thomson; and a host of other devoted nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
