THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Emma B. Kennedy, 94, widow of Mr. Johnny Kennedy, died Sunday, December 7, 2008, in the Thomson Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Lamb officiating. Burial was in the Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Greene County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Quick, Thomson, Mable Woods, Appling, Dorothy Johnson, Ladson, S.C., and Sheila Thompson, Lancaster, S.C.; her son, Mr. Walter Alvin Kennedy, Thomson; 27 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
