THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Annie L. McLeroy, 83, widow of Mr. Henry Foster McLeroy, died Saturday, December 13, 2008, in the University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in the Young Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sue Meehan officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McLeroy was a native of Rutledge, Ga., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired retail sales manager having worked for the W.T. Grant Co. for more than 29 years. She was a member of the Merry Widows Club and she was a member of the Young Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Rudean Robiston, Beaufort, S.C.; her son, Mr. Paul (Catherine) McLeroy, Flowery Branch; her sister, Mrs. Jeannette Land, Thomson; three grandchildren, Melissa Radford, Ridgeland, S.C., Chris (Sue) Radford, Beaufort, and Matthew (Laura) McLeroy, Cornelia; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Wheeler and Michael Robiston, both of Ridgeland, Michael McElven, Beaufort, and Carson McLeroy, Cornelia; and two great-great-grandchildren, Cody Bennett and Kaleb Long, both of Ridgeland.
Pallbearers were W.C. Land, Tommy Samuels, Chester Radford, Howard Stevens, Rusty McGahee and Bert Waller.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
