Mr. Emanuel Moss

WARRENTON, Ga. -- Mr. Emanuel Moss, affectionately known as "E.K.," was born on February 5, 1935, in Warren County, to the late Willis and Katie Moss. He was the third oldest of eight children, with a sister and brother who preceded him in death. He joined Stamp Branch Baptist Church in Warrenton at an early age. He attended Warren County School. He was united into holy matrimony to Laverne on December 20, 2002. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 7, 2008. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a very energetic person and lived life to its fullest.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laverne (Pinkey) Moss of Warrenton; seven children, Eva (Ronald) Stevenson of Milledgeville, Catherine (Melvin) Cowins of Thomson, Jhanisha Clark, Johntavius Smith, Howard Smith, Bianca Clark, and Ricardo Clark, all of Atlanta; one brother, Lorenso Moss of Augusta; four sisters, Mary Young of Warrenton, Emma Johnson, Beaurine Wilkins, and Minister Diann Harewood, all of Augusta; three brothers-in-law, Alonzie Young of Warrenton, James Holloway of Atlanta, and Collins Harewood of Augusta; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held at Stamp Branch Baptist Church in Warrenton on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 2:30 p.m.
