Mr. Robert James Myers
Retired

WARRENTON, Ga. -- Mr. Robert James Myers, 98, entered into rest December 10, 2008.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008, at the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Rayner officiating.

Mr. Myers was born in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Newton Collie Myers and the late Sarah Frances Tankersley Myers. He lived in Lincoln and Wilkes counties for many years before moving to Warrenton in 1973. He was retired from Royal Manufacturing. Mr. Myers was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and had served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife: Sara Myers, Thomson; son: Jack Myers and wife, Beverly, Valdosta, Ga.; daughters: Lairee Rodgers, Washington, Beverly Baker and husband Roy- Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; grandchildren: Jack Myers, Jr., Michele Ross, Maethea Rodgers, Melissa Watlington, Kelly Baker, Craig Baker and Baker; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by Jessie Mae Goolsby Myers and Alvie Myers.

Memorials may be made to the Rehoboth Baptist Church, 3219 Metasville Rd., Washington, GA 30673.
