AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Frances Marshon Odum, 58, wife of the late Charles Carroll Odum, entered into rest Thursday, December 11, 2008.
A memorial service was held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Sunday, December 14, 2008, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mark Tatum and Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Mrs. Odum, a native of Summerdale, Ala., had lived in Thomson, and most recently made Augusta her home. She was the daughter of the late Walter Tex Smith and she was employed at Waffle House for more than 20 years. She loved being outdoors.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret K. Smith of Augusta; sons, Richard 'Scott' Mills of Martinez and Horace Kenneth Suggs, Jr., of McCormick, S.C., Charles W. Odum of Thomson; daughters, Frances Michelle Perdue of Augusta, Cheryl Moll and Carol Leigh Bailey, both of Thomson; brothers, Terry Clayton Nix of Augusta and Walter David Smith of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Rebecca A. Smith of Augusta, Sheila A. Smith of Hickory, N.C., Tena M. Taylor of Blythe, and Juanita M. Tatum of Franklin, Ga.; as well as ten grandchildren; and a host of family and friends
