THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Billie David Wright, 76, of Thomson, entered into rest December 18, 2008, at the VA Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Margie L. Wright.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rob Sparks officiating. Interment followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wright was born in Winston, Ga., and was the son of the late Charles Walter Wright and the late Nannie Lucille Taylor Wright. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a heating and air mechanic. Mr. Wright was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: wife, Margie L. Wright, Thomson; sons, Billy David Wright, Jr., Winston, Ga., Tony Allen Wright, Grovetown; daughter, Tonia Lea Dye, Douglasville, Ga.; brothers, Gary Wright, Denver, Colo., Ronnie Wright, Atlanta; sister, Sybil Brooks, Conyers, Ga.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
