THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Morris Walker, 55, was held on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Aldred C.M.E. Church in Warren County, with the Rev. Dr. Willie J. Wiley officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Sarah "Duke" Walker; two daughters, Sonja Walker and Naquiata Walker; five stepchildren, Melvin Wilson, Mary Ann Wilson, Sheila Wilson, Stanford Wilson, Priscilla Mathis-Carey; mother, Eunice Walker; five sisters, Eloise Davis, Louise Walker, Laverne Heggs, Mattie Walker, Christine (Jerry) Dennis; two brothers, Johnny (Montress) Walker, Pressley (Mary Ann) Walker; 22 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
