Mrs. Anise Mayes Bell
Garland Retiree

PHENIX CITY, Ala. - Mrs. Anise Mayes Bell, 88, formerly of Camak, Ga. died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, in Phenix City, Ala.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Camak United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bell's grandson, Rev. Kevin Stone, officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bell, daughter of the late Edward T. and Dixie Wade Mayes, had lived in Camak most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of Camak United Methodist Church, and had been employed by Garland Knitting Mills. Her husband of 52 years, Carlton Eugene Bell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Dixie Jenkins, Milner, Ga., and Laura Stone, Phenix City, Ala.; a son: Gene Bell, New Orleans, La.; two sisters: Bertie Ferguson, and Lillian Dean; grandchildren: Jamey Jenkins, Jon Jenkins, Jenny Polk, Rev. Kevin Stone, Kristi Moore, Ryan Bell, Ian Bell, and Kathleen Bell; and 11 great- grandchildren.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
