Thomson High's Eubanks and Harris ink to play college football

Thomson High School seniors Darius Eubanks and Lonnie Harris were among a number of area prep football players signing to play on the college level Wednesday - the day observed as national signing day across America.

The 6-2, 185-lb., Eubanks, signed a letter of intent to play for the Georgia Southern University Eagles in Statesboro. Eubanks was a star wide receiver and defensive back at Thomson.

Harris, meanwhile, signed a similar agreement to play at Louisberg Junior College in Louisberg, N.C. The 5-11, 185-lb., Harris was an outstanding linebacker for the Bulldogs.

Special signing ceremonies for both players were held in the media center of the school with the players' parents and several football coaches attending.
