CAMAK, Ga. - Mr. Gary Lee Hamilton, 52, husband of Mrs. Cindy Chavous Hamilton, died Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Heartland Hospice.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Holiness Deliverance Tabernacle, with Rev. Wiladean Myers officiating.
Mr. Hamilton, a native of Hot Springs, Ark., had been a Georgia resident 21 years. He was a retired maintenance worker with U. S. Battery.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Chavous Hamilton, his mother, Vereline Montgomery, four sons, Brent (Amy) Hamilton, Corey Hamilton, Derrick (Misty) Hamilton and Jack (Ashley) Chavous; four grandchildren, Haley, Haden, Makayla & Jack; two sisters, Peggy Carpenter and Debbie Stringer; one brother, David Hamilton; Mother and Father in Law, Jack and Shirley Carr.
His father, Billie Joe Hamilton and his step father, Carl Montgomery preceded Mr. Hamilton in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Heartland Hospice, 1365 Interstate Parkway Augusta, GA 30909.
Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
