Benton to wed Brown in April ceremony at First Baptist

Mr. Larry C. Benton of Siloam and Ms. Carolyn S. Benton of Thomson are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandi Nicole Benton, to Charles Randolph Brown, Jr., son of Mr. Charles R. Brown, Sr., of Harlem and Ms. Karen D. Phillips of Dearing.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Curtis N. Stephens and the late Mrs. Mollie M. Stephens of Pendergrass, the late Mr. Ted Benton of Athens, and the late Mrs. Theda M. Hale of Colbert. She is a 2001 graduate of Thomson High School and a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of the Medical College of Georgia where she received a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. She is employed by Dr. William Jopling and Dr. Charles Brunson as a dental hygienist.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Lynette S. Johnson of Harlem and the late Mr. Sammy Eugene Phillips of Dearing and Mr. Charles H. Brown and the late Mrs. Mary E. Brown of Harlem. He is a 1999 graduate of Briarwood Academy and is employed by Brown's Carpentry and Trim.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 25, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Thomson.
