The Baldwin Bravettes handed the Thomson High Lady Bulldogs a 49-28 loss in their last regular season basketball game at The Dog House last Saturday night.
The night before wasn't any better for the Thomson, as they also suffered a loss to the Burke County Lady Bears in Waynesboro.
This week, the Lady Bulldogs are playing in the region tournament being hosted at Burke County High School.
In the game against Baldwin, nearly three minutes passed by before any scoring occurred. But when it did, it was all Baldwin. The visitors jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first period before the Lady Bulldogs managed to score a couple of buckets.
It wasn't long before the Bravettes had built a commanding lead of 23-6 at halftime.
With 7:19 left in the game, Baldwin had managed to increase their lead over Thomson by 25 points, 35-10.
One of the bright spots for the Lady Bulldogs of first year Head Coach Michael Williams came during the last three minutes of the game, when they played strong, defensively.
During regular season play, Thomson only won two games.
