GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Maureen Upton Crutchfield, 70, entered into rest Friday, February 20, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Kitchens officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery in Avera, Ga.
Mrs. Crutchfield was a native of Glascock County, and a member of the Gibson Church of God. She was a very loving person and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mr. Johnny Crutchfield; one son, William Joseph (Diane) Chalker of Thomson; one step-son, Johnny (Bobbie) Crutchfield, Jr., of Gibson; and one step-daughter, Kathy (Tommy) Johnson of Gibson; one sister, Mrs. Jeanette Glover of North Augusta, S.C.; five grandchildren, Shane Chalker, Keven Chalker, Katelyn Crutchfield, Taylor Johnson, and Tyler Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Justin Chalker, Ansley Chalker, and Landen Chalker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William and Ruby Braddock Upton, and a brother, William Upton.
Pallbearers were Shane Chalker, Keven Chalker, Danny Upton, Byron Crutchfield, Mike Glover and Charles Hall.
Sheppard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
