GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Terry Guy Newman, 57, of Grovetown, entered into rest Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Heartland Hospice.
Mr. Newman was a native and lifelong resident of Grovetown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a sheetrocker and a member of Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Family members include his mother: Clarissa Culbreth and husband Tom of Grovetown, son: Tony Newman and wife Leslie of Windsor, S.C., sisters: Brenda Chester and husband Ray of Thomson, Frances Hooks and husband Al of Grovetown, Judy Bowley and husband Terry of Grovetown; brother: Jeff Newman and wife Karen of Grovetown; grandchildren: Samantha Newman, T.J. Newman and Sheila Newman.
Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his father: Guy V. Newman.
A Memorial service was held Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Don Widener officiating.
