THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby J. Carder, 85, widow of Mr. Roy Carder, of Thomson, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at her residence.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating.
Mrs. Carder was a native of Elberton, Ga., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired bank teller and a former restaurant owner. She was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Beth Baggett, Thomson, and Mrs. Connie B. Owens, Cumming; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
