WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Dessie Usry Newsome, 97, wife of the late Mr. Colquitt Newsome, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Warrenton Health and Rehab Center.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Alex Williams officiating.
Mrs. Newsome, a native of Glascock County, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Usry. She was a homemaker and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Ray Usry, Grovetown, and one sister, Blanche Usry, Gibson.
Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
