THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Bobby Earl Floyd, 56, died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2009, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryant Neal officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Floyd was a native of New Orleans, La., but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include his daughter, Ms. Shelia Floyd, Thomson; his son, Bobby L. Floyd, Thomson; his mother, Mrs. Myrtis Floyd, Warrenton; three sisters, Marilyn Stevenson and Shirley Durr, both of Warrenton, and Janice Quinn, Hazelhurst, Miss.; a brother, Mr. Kendall Floyd, Bogue Chitto, Miss.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Danny Quinn, Clint Chalker, Clay Holbrook, Terry Sherritze, Richard Miles and Ray Miles.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
