AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Garland McRay "Ray" Cotten, 28, beloved son of Mrs. Donna Cotten, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, in McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Greer officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cotten was a native of Prattville, Ala., but had lived in Augusta for several years. He was employed at the Metro Coffee House and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Donna Cotten, Thomson; his brother, John M. (Rebecca) Cotten, Clearwater S.C.; five nieces, Lindsey Nichols Rogers, Amanda Cotten, Faith Cotten, Brittany Hyatt, Kathryn Hyatt; a great niece, Aly Perry; a great nephew, Kade Perry; a special friend, Amy Richerson; two uncles, Billy Joe (Jeraldean) Greer and Rev. Bobby (Dorothy) Greer.
Pallbearers were Dean Rogers, Jon Reams and friends.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
