Augusta Technical College Augusta campus dental hygiene student, Courtney R. Standefer, has been awarded a scholarship from the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society. The award was presented March 21 at a special luncheon held at the 97th Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta.
As a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the dental profession, the Hinman Dental Society provided scholarships and gifts totaling more than $250,000. Student recipients of the scholarships are known as "Hinman Scholars." Recipients must be junior student members of the American Dental Association (ADA) as well as in the top 10 of their class.
A graduate of Thomson High School, Mrs. Standefer is the former Courtney Richards of Thomson.
