HARLEM, Ga. -- Funeral service for Mr. Rob Willie Ramsey, Sr., 68, of Harlem, was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Simonia Baptist Church in Appling, with the Rev. Earnest Turner, Sr., officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Survivors are: a devoted wife, Mattie Ramsey, Harlem; five sons, Larry (Linda) Dorsey, Rob (Jesse) Ramsey, Jr., Mike (Roberta) Ramsey, all of Harlem, Arrick (Stephanie) Ramsey, Tampa, Fla., Clinton (Deborah) Raiford of Grovetown; nephew, reared as a son, Kayle (Kim) Jones, Augusta; two daughters, Jacqueline (Jack) Stevens of Knoxville, Tenn., Gloria Ramsey, Harlem; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Willie (Geneva) Ramsey, Glenn Jones, Johnny (Paulette) Rolland, all of Harlem; five sisters, Daisy Grant of Atlanta, Martha (Ronald) Hampton, Marie Wilson, Betty Washington, all of Harlem, Belinda Jones of Grovetown; brothers-in-law, Walter (Minnie) Dorsey, James Dorsey, Marion (Betty) Dorsey, Fleming Dorsey, all of Dearing, Johnny (Amy) Dorsey, of Harlem; sisters-in law, Helen Bell, Grovetown, Mary Boyd, Dearing, Rosie Raiford, Lorine (Eugene) Scott, Minister Louise (Eddie) Boyd, all of Harlem; godson, Fred Porter, Atlanta; goddaughter, Philomen Cruz, Augusta; devoted niece, Martha Dorsey, Harlem; special nieces, Teresa Drake, Atlanta and Ronda Hampton, Harlem; and a host of other relatives and friends.
