Adams to wed Smith at Dearing Baptist Church

Donald and Laura Adams of Dearing, announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Cassidy Adams, to Carson Wayne Smith, son of Tony and Robin Smith of North Augusta.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m., May 16, 2009, at Dearing Baptist Church with a reception at Belle Meade Country Club.

Miss Adams is the granddaughter of Edward Ray and Elizabeth Adams of Dearing and the late Charles and Mary Anne Waldrop of Amelia Island, Fla. She is a graduate of Augusta Christian School and University of Georgia, where she cheered for two years for the Bulldogs. She earned her degree in sociology and currently is employed by The Home Place in Thomson. She is also a coach with the Thomson Competitive Bulldogs.

Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holley and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mobley. He is a graduate of Augusta Christian School and North Georgia Technical College where he received his degree in turf and golf course management. He is currently employed by the Augusta National Golf Club.

The couple will reside in Martinez.
