Car Show at the Depot is Saturday

The seventh annual Car Show at the Depot is this Saturday.

Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and held every year in memory of Cecil Hogan, this year's show will feature classic cars and trucks, as well as a new division for contemporary, sophisticated types of vehicles.

In addition to all the cars with prizes, the show will feature free rides for children, craft and food vendors, a big fire truck and dump truck for the children to tour, a DJ and contests such as hula-hoop and dancing the Twist.

"Just a lot of family fun things to do," Chamber Director Carolyn Gilbert said.

Also new this year is a Poker Run for motorcycle enthusiasts.

To register a vehicle for the show, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 706-597-1000.

Registration will be available the day of the show for $20. Admission and activities are free. For more information on the Poker Run, call Cindy Johnston at 706-595-8269.
