AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Gertrude Bush Guy, 77, beloved wife of 53 years to the late Vernon Albert Guy, entered into rest on April 14, 2009, at her residence.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2009, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 1990 Highland Avenue in Augusta, with Richard Culler officiating.
Mrs. Guy was a dedicated mother who raised five children. She was generous, nurturing, and a caregiver to everyone. She was an avid Bible student who found great joy in witnessing to others about her faith in a future paradise earth.
Mrs. Guy was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Guy; a daughter, Nancy Guy Cox; and a brother, J. C. Bush.
Survivors include daughters Brenda (Don) Starrett of Dearing; Becky (Mike) Reagan of Grovetown; and a son Russell (Paula) Guy of Winter Haven, Fla.; two sisters, Adelle Bush and Elaine Jacobs; one brother, Raymond (Sharla) Bush; a sister-in-law, Patsy Bush; eight grandchildren, Wade and Guy Starrett, Rhea Rangel, and Jared, Marina and Mark Reagan, and John and Kevin Guy; three great-grandchildren, Hayli and Leyton Reagan and Dakota Guy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
