HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Daisy Mae Mathews, beloved wife of the late Mr. William A. Mathews, Sr., entered into rest on Saturday April 18, 2009, at Westwood Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m., Monday , April 20, 2009, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel with Dr. Phil Bray officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were held Harold Whitaker, Randy Walden, Dr. Kenneth Reeves, David Marvicsin, Albert "Sonny" Gay and Boyd Reeves.
She was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church and retired from Owens Illinois as production supervisor.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Van Keasler, Harlem; brother Howard Harrison; sister Avis McGahee both of Dearing; grandchildren Clint Alger, Traci Schlagenhauser, Bert Mathews and Lee Mathews and several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Mathews, Sr., son William A. Mathews, Jr.
