Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Underwood of Byron, Ga., would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Anne Underwood, to John Paul Stevenson, son of Mr. Tony Stevenson and the late Mrs. Quinnette Stevenson of Thomson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William H Rawlings and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Underwood, Sr. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and she received her masters degree in school counseling. She is a teacher at Belair Elementary School in Columbia County.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yates and the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Stevenson. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in construction management. He is an estimator at Two State Construction in Thomson.
The wedding is planned for July 11, 2009, at First Christian Church in Augusta at 3 p.m.
