THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Norma Faye Chambers, 53, beloved wife of Mr. Edward Chambers, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at West Forrest Assisted Living.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Kitchens and Rev. Chris Smith officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers was a native of McDuffie County. She was a homemaker, and attended the Old Frontier. Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Howard 'Bo' Welch, and Mrs. Willie Mae Miles, a sister, Sandra Noggle, her two brothers, Gene Welch and Billy Welch.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Chambers, Thomson; her two daughters, Toni Faye Young, Thomson; Kelley Marie Piatchek, Thomson; two step-sons, Allen Chambers, Houston, Texas; Harry Chambers, Fla.; two sisters, Angela Lokey, Harlem; Kim Martinez, Dearing; three brothers, Ronnie Welch, Dearing; Ray Miles, Richard Miles, both of Harlem; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Daniel Garcia, Phillip Welch, Michael Welch, Timmy Welch, Ronnie Welch, Jr., and Chris Bowick.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
