JESUP, Ga. - Mr. Steven A. Cope, Sr., 38, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at his residence, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Nov. 21, 2008. He was a carpet installer and a fisherman.
Steven grew up in Warren County and attended Warren County schools.
Survivors are his wife of 23 years; Rhonda Cobb Walker Cope, of Jesup, Ga.; two sons, Steven A. Cope, Jr. and Anthony "Tyler" Cope, both of Jesup, Ga.; his mother, Patsy King (James) Edwards, of Warrenton; his father and step-mother, Milton (Barbara) Cope of Comar, Pa.; two brothers, Tommy Cope of Thomson, and Milton Cope, Jr., of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister; Michelle Edwards of Harlem; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, from Spring Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating.
