Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso Smith, of Warrenton, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamiko Cherise Smith, to Travis Mondale Lazenby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Lazenby, Jr., of Thomson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Charlie Stanford and the late Veline Stanford, of Warrenton, and Mrs. Bessie Pearl Davis, of Thomson. She is a 1995 graduate of Warren County High School and a 1997 graduate of North Georgia Technical College. Miss Smith is presently employed by MCG Children's Medical Center as a unit clerk.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Lizzie Babbs-Samuels and the late James Samuels, of Thomson, and the late Solomon and Alice Lazenby, Sr., of Thomson. He is a 1999 graduate of Thomson High School and is employed as a sergeant for the Georgia Department of Corrections.
The wedding is planned for June 13, 2009, at 4 p.m., at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Thomson.
