DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Charley L. Walton, 70, beloved husband of Mrs. Eugenia "Genie" C. Walton, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, in University Hospital.
A memorial service was held at a later date.
Mr. Walton was a native of Oconee County, but had lived in Augusta and Dearing for many years. He was a retired plant manager for Inglett & Co. He was a member of the American Motorcyclist Association, the Harley's Owners Group, and the local H.O.G. Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eugenia "Genie" C. Walton, Dearing; a son, Scott (Kim) Walton, Martinez; a daughter, Lynne (DeWayne) W. Piper, Boca Raton, Fla.; a grandson, Ryan Piper; a granddaughter, Bailee Walton; and several cousins.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
