WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. Jim A "Jimmy" Hall, of Warrenton, entered into rest May 6, 2009, at Trinity Hospital in Augusta.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Warrenton with Rev. Allen Stewart officiating.
Mr. Hall was born in Wilkes County, and lived in Warrenton most of his life. He was the son of the late Joel C. Hall, Sr., and the late Betty Bufford Hall. Mr. Hall taught in Warren, McDuffie, Columbia and Richmond county schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warrenton, a member of the Warrenton Garden Club, a Charter member of the Warren County Historical Society, and was also a member of the Warren County Booster Club. The family said that Jimmy was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include Jay Hall, Warrenton; Brenda Samuels Twilly, Thomson; and Tara L. Henry, Martinez.
Honorary pallbearers were Walker Davis, Duncan Davis, Emille Carr, Joe Kimbrough, Craig Hunter, Purnell Davis and Merrill Callaway, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund in Warrenton or the McDuffie County Animal Shelter.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
