NORWOOD, Ga. - A 31-year-old North Augusta, S.C. woman was apparently killed instantly following a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 20 in Warren County early Tuesday.
Warren County Coroner Paul Lowe identified the victim as Felicia Bell, of the 1400 block of Grove Blvd. Ms. Bell died from blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:28 a.m., the coroner said.
The wreck, which occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. near mile marker 158, also seriously injured two other people, according to Warren County Fire/EMS Chief Tommy Wolfe.
Authorities identified those victims as James Cummings, 36, of the 100 block of Eve Street, Augusta and Ronald Cummings, 22, of the 1400 block of Wrightsboro Road, Augusta. Both were taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
The three were riding in a 2001 Ford Explorer, whose driver apparently lost control and turned over before striking several trees. The wreck remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
