NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. James L. Honaker, Sr., 52, beloved husband of Mrs. Shannon D. Honaker, entered into rest Thursday, May 21, 2009.
Mr. Honaker was a licensed insurance agent in the states of Georgia and South Carolina and represented the Insurance Center. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and enjoyed wood working.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Jennifer L. Honaker, of Jacksonville, Fla.; son: James Lee Honaker, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepdaughter: Jennifer N. Turner, of Athens; stepson: Matthew A. Turner, of Winder, Ga.; six grandchildren; mother: Mutsuko Honaker, of Augusta; father: the late Carl L. Honaker; brother: Charles H. Honaker and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Thomson.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor Chuck Carswell officiating.
Pallbearers were Andrew J. Kilpatrick II, Scott L. Smith, John Voelker, Matthew A. Turner, John M. Honaker, and Stephen L. Hill.
Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
