I just wanted to thank you and your staff for the fine job of reporting the Thomson High School baseball games in your paper. Billy Hobbs did a great job in all of his game articles.
From Little League to high school baseball, this is the truest form of this sport. It is not about money or fame, but about young people putting out their best for a game they love. It is about dreams and hard work.
My five-year-old grandson and I attended some of the regular high school games and all of the playoff games and enjoyed every minute. As a baseball fan, we all should be thankful for all of Coach Terry Holder's efforts and the efforts of all of these fine young men. It was exciting to see this team play.
I am sure many of these young men will go on to play great baseball for area college teams. But all are surely worthy of this community's gratitude for their fine record and the great way they played ball, and the good examples they set for the young baseball hopefuls in this community.
