The Old Frontier is bringing a professional rodeo to Thomson this weekend. Cross Creek Rodeo will bring 181 contestants, according to Cross Creek official Ed Doolittle.
"We didn't have a rodeo here last year, so it's time to crank it up," said Old Frontier Chairman Chris Smith.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday. The rodeo begins both nights at 7 p.m. and lasts approximately two and a half hours. Advanced tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Tickets at the gate are $14 for adults and $8 for children. Children younger than five-years-old are free. All proceeds will benefit Jabez Therapeutic Riding. Tickets are available online at www.crosscreekrodeo.com or in Thomson at Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlor, Tractor Supply, McDuffie-CSRA Office Solutions and McDuffie Feed and Seed.
