THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Deacon Florence Wilcher, Jr., 70, Thomson, was held on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 2 p.m., at the Stamp Branch Baptist Church, Warrenton, with the Rev. Robert Martin, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Nellie M. Wilcher, Thomson; mother, Maudie Mae Wilcher, Thomson; two children, Annette (Dwight) Lott & Wayman (Elmira) Brown, all of Thomson; six sisters, Reola Grant, Vinnie Reese, Margie (Bennie) Bentley, Mary (James) Cummings, Thelma Wilcher, all of Thomson, & Martha (Eddie) Vaughen of New York; four brothers, John Thomas (Carol) Wilcher, Fla., Moses (Barbara) Wilcher, Thomson, James (Detric) Wilcher, and John (Denise) Wilcher, all of Maryland; devoted grandson, Barry B.Wilcher, Thomson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mattie Lazenby and Annie (Mitchell) Grant, all of Thomson, and C. Jr. (JoAnn) Randall, Warrenton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
