THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James 'Jimmy' Dobbins, Sr., 80, widower of Mrs. Betty W. Dobbins, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, in the Gwinnett Medical Center, in Lawrenceville. Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Thomson.
Mr. Dobbins was native of Hattiesburg, Miss., but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a retired businessman, having worked for the Wilson Company for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Thomson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Betty Dobbins and his daughter, Denise Dobbins.
He is survived by his son, Mr. James Dobbins Jr., of Buford.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
