THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. William W. "Bill" Hobbs Jr., widower of Mrs. Elsie Standard Hobbs, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, in the Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating.
Mr. Hobbs was a native of Thomson. He was the retired president of Moultrie Technical College. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark Hobbs and Brad Hobbs, both of Lilburn, Ga.; his sister, Mrs. Margaret Stevens, Thomson; and his three grandsons, Boyd Hobbs, Will Hobbs, and Tyler Hobbs.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
