AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Rosina R. Martinez, 73, entered into rest on Monday, July 6, 2009, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center after a short illness.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Platt's Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Mr. David Kriegel officiating. Burial followed in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Martinez was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Fort Gordon, Ga. She was a retired civil service employee of Fort Gordon and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rosina is survived by her son, Dirk S. Martinez of Grovetown; three daughters, Caren (Tony) Harkins, of Martinez, Carla (Ted) Oellerich, of Hephzibah, Carrie (Jeb) Blount, of Thomson; five grandchildren, Tonya (Brad) Ezernack, Libby Oellerich, Ava Oellerich, Lonnie Oellerich, and Jeb Blount, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Chase Harkins, Karlee Ezernack; one sister, Mary Archibeque; niece, Michelle Parr, and many other nieces and nephews.
Platt's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
